About Qudo™

QudoTM was founded by Nicky Bateman, an experienced Paediatric Chiropractor and Craniosacral Therapist.

Nicky came up with the innovative QudoTM Soother as a natural, science driven solution to help young babies suffering with persistent crying, colic and general discomfort – a problem she’s seen consistently over the past 20 years of treating young babies. She has dedicated her career to improving the immediate and longer-term wellbeing of young babies and their families by helping resolve the root cause of their discomfort.

Qudo’sTM mission is to make babies’ lives brighter by tackling the problem of persistent crying and colic, helping both babies and their parents by delivering easily accessible solutions that physically benefit young babies in a safe, natural and comforting manner.

Every parent wants to give their children the very best start in life. But, persistent crying or colic can have a big impact, making babies miserable and parents stressed. We believe that science can create solutions that care for both.

Nicky Bateman

Founder/CEO

I started my working life in the Royal Navy and moved to Bupa Health Services where I became the youngest female General Manager within the business. Following my heart and my passion for helping people, I then trained as a Chiropractor and Craniosacral Therapist and for the past 18+ years I have successfully treated many babies, children and adults and gained a respected reputation. Since having my 💡 moment, I have also focused on developing and launching the Qudo Soother™ to benefit as many babies and families as possible.

What is Qudo™ to me

A safe, sensible and easy solution that really works to help distressed infants, it has been life changing for some families going through a challenging time. Throughout the whole development of the Qudo Soother™ it has been babies that have informed the design and construction at every step. Even through the challenges of this journey, the utter joy of witnessing first hand a crying infant become happy and content, has driven me to deliver this soother to all who need it. It has been a thrilling ride and Qudo™ will touch and help so many families.

Marketing Director, Advisory

I am a board-level marketer with over 25 years of experience across D2C, B2B, B2B2C and marketplace. I spent 12 years at Which? where I launched and ran Which? Online and went on to head up new business ventures launching many new services to market.

I am passionate about companies that are disruptive and since Which?, I have been involved in a series of executive and advisory roles for start-ups. I believe that iconic brands are built using a narrative built on purpose, using customer advocacy and community to build authenticity and trust. Having also led the global go-to-market sales and marketing strategy at ratings and reviews SaaS company Reevoo, I have first-hand experience of applying peer-to-peer and user-generated content to a successful brand narrative in today’s society; it’s clear that Qudo has all the ingredients of a truly disruptive and iconic, global brand.

I was invited to develop the go-to-market plan for Qudo and having lived through the impact of persistent crying and the soothing effects of cranial osteopathy with my own baby, I got excited about the concept straight away and my experience and cultural fit has been perfect.
